Im trying to install etterna for my friend and I keep getting that error message

Going down the list of things you should try…

  1. Get DirectX from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
  2. Get every version of Visual C++ from here: https://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/visual_c_runtime_installer,1.html
  3. Get the x86 version of Etterna instead of x64
  4. Ping a dev on either the Etterna Online discord server or the Etterna Dev Group discord server (https://discord.gg/ZqpUjsJ) with your issue
  5. Bang your head into a wall until it works

Sound like a missing dll iirc, I’d appreciate a response after trying the stuff Ryan mentioned (It is probably points (1) or (2). Maybe i should point out “visual C++” are just runtime dependencies for C++ programs, not a C++ compiler or anything like that)).
