So I’m a new player and I want to make noteskins, but I’m really confused.

The tutorial explains a lot pretty well. It was made many versions ago, but everything should still work almost exactly the same. If for some reason you are too lazy to watch the video, this short explanation will help: Copy an existing Noteskin, learn from it, and modify things to be the way you want. DivideByZero is probably the best simple choice to base from.
