if you download a pack from the site to load manually, files in that pack retain their old metadata, however if the pack is downloaded in-game, the metadata is changed
these are the same files from the same pack, the file on the left is from when I initially downloaded 92 solo files in-game, the file on the right is a download from the website. notice the date modified field. this honestly isn’t a problem for gameplay but it’s nice to be able to just look at the .sm file and have a solid date on when that chart was released.
